BACKGROUND
After a decade of working in the film and television world, I had my first child and became increasingly fascinated by human development, which led me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
I began my clinical work at The Southern California Counseling Center where I saw hundreds of clients including individuals, couples, families and children. I completed the Attachment Mastery Program with Dr. Diane Poole Heller and a yearlong couples therapy training program with Ellyn Bader of The Couples Institute. I am well-versed in mindfulness techniques including MBSR and Mindful Self-Compassion and have facilitated classes in both mindfulness and best-practice parenting. I also have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and am a certified CRM (Community Resiliency Model) practitioner.
I am also an attachment-focused EMDR therapist trained by the Parnell Institute.
I have been married for over twenty years, raising two children, and am currently practicing in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles.
